A Message from Rosie's Mom:
So, the adventures of Rosie...she's safe at home with me, hungry and thirsty but otherwise fine. She's curled on my feet about to pass out. Somehow she made her way to Upper Arlington, got tired and sat down in someone's drive way. They called the UA AC, she came out and rescued herWhat a huge relief! Thanks to all who helped to spread the word. It's a wonderful feeling knowing that there's such a huge safety net out there of people, friends and complete strangers, who care and were willing to jump in and help out!
I'm so glad for you and for Rosie. I can only imagine how you felt. You guys did such an amazing job of getting the word out. It would be wonderful if you could detail your actions in a future post that might be a resource to anyone else who loses their dog.
ReplyDeleteLOL Marilyn I was chatting with one of our friends this morning and said I should do exactly that with this blog. We'll keep it up and create a tutorial of sorts. The key thing is knowing lots of people. Even better is to make sure you have a wide range of skill sets. We even surprised ourselves how quickly we were able to pull this search together and so many people volunteered to help. It was an amazing experience.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing! I learned so much in this process, different resources that are available for finding a lost pet... and most importantly that spreading the word and getting information about the lost pet in the area as quickly as possible is key.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that your puppy is home safe and sound!!
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile. I'm happy that she is home.
ReplyDeleteThere is a very nice web page, PETFBI.org that serves as a clearing house for lost pets in Ohio, base in the Columbus area. It allows you to post photos, search by area or description of the pet, etc. It has been in existence for years, I always point clients in that direction - if we knew everyone was going in the same place.....
ReplyDeleteSUH-WEET! Now we can all breathe a sigh of relief...and continue our work of helping more dogs.
